Nitric Oxide Supplement South Africa – 120 Capsules
Pharmatropia Nitric Oxide Support combines three complementary amino-acid forms in one capsule: 400mg L-Arginine, 65mg L-Citrulline Malate and 35mg L-Ornithine AKG per capsule. It is a caffeine-free capsule formula rather than a stimulant pre-workout.
Read the complete South African Nitric Oxide ingredient, comparison and safety guide.
Why this three-ingredient combination is different
- L-Arginine – 400mg: an amino acid used by nitric-oxide synthase as a direct substrate in the body’s nitric-oxide pathway.
- L-Citrulline Malate – 65mg: citrulline can be converted to arginine in the body, giving the formula a second, complementary route into the same pathway. Malate is the paired organic-acid component of citrulline malate.
- L-Ornithine AKG – 35mg: combines L-Ornithine with alpha-ketoglutarate (AKG). Ornithine participates in the urea cycle, while AKG is an intermediate in cellular energy metabolism and amino-acid metabolism.
The AKG difference: many nitric-oxide supplements are arginine-only, citrulline-only, beetroot-based or stimulant-heavy. Pharmatropia adds L-Ornithine AKG to its arginine-and-citrulline base, creating a broader three-amino-acid formula. This is a formulation difference, not proof that the finished product is clinically superior or that it treats any condition.
How it compares with common alternatives
| Product type | Main distinction | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Pharmatropia capsule formula | Arginine + Citrulline Malate + Ornithine AKG; caffeine-free; measured capsule format | Per-capsule amounts, labelled serving, medicine cautions |
| Arginine-only | Single direct nitric-oxide-pathway amino acid | Total arginine per serving and tolerability |
| Citrulline-only | Single precursor approach | Whether the label declares pure citrulline or citrulline malate |
| Beetroot/nitrate product | Uses the dietary nitrate pathway rather than this amino-acid combination | Nitrate standardisation and complete ingredient list |
| Stimulant pre-workout | May use caffeine or other stimulants for perceived energy | Caffeine dose, stimulant blend and suitability |

Frequently Asked Questions
What does AKG mean?
AKG means alpha-ketoglutarate, an intermediate in the citric-acid cycle and amino-acid metabolism. In this product it is paired with L-Ornithine as L-Ornithine AKG.
Why include L-Ornithine AKG with arginine and citrulline?
It differentiates the formula from basic one-ingredient nitric-oxide supplements by adding a third amino-acid form connected with urea-cycle and amino-acid metabolism. This explains the formulation strategy without claiming that the combination is proven superior.
Is this the same as a stimulant pre-workout?
No. The declared amino-acid formula is caffeine-free and does not rely on a stimulant for perceived energy. Always check the complete current label.
Is this the same as beetroot?
No. Beetroot products generally use dietary nitrate. This formula uses arginine, citrulline malate and ornithine AKG.
Is there a larger-value option?
Yes. The Nitric Oxide two-pack contains two 120-capsule bottles.
