The person behind the brand
At the heart of Nature’s Pharmatropia is its founder, Lize Bührmann, whose life and work are dedicated to the healing intelligence of nature.
Her personal journey of facing four autoimmune diseases, spinal and nervous system injuries, trauma, and the weight of deep depression and anxiety gave her firsthand experience of how complex and overwhelming illness can be. These challenges taught her that symptoms are not simply obstacles to be suppressed, but important signals pointing to deeper imbalances that, when understood, can guide the way toward true healing.
Lize is a registered Doctor of Natural Medicine (practice no. 000 11819/006), with a postgraduate degree in Phytomedicine and a degree in Social Sciences and Psychology. She has trained extensively with indigenous healers, holistic practitioners, and plant medicine traditions both in South Africa and abroad, while also drawing on her early experience in the pharmaceutical industry. This unique combination of clinical knowledge, research, and lived experience allows her to guide others with both professional insight and genuine compassion.
Currently completing her practitioner’s training through the Centre for Homeopathic Education (CHE), Lize is specialising in depth archetypal homeopathy, a field that works with the symbolic language of illness and the archetypal forces carried through generations. She integrates this with Family Constellations, creating a unique approach to healing that honours both the individual and the ancestral field they belong to. Through this work, she supports clients in recognising that symptoms are not enemies, but invitations to uncover hidden stories, release inherited burdens, and restore balance.
Her vision is to empower others to find the same possibility of transformation — to work with the wisdom of nature, restore balance, and reclaim vitality. She is dedicated to supporting healing on every level: physical health, emotional resilience, mental wellbeing, and spiritual wholeness.
