Bobinsana, is a shrubby tree that grows 4 to 6 meters high and is usually found alongside rivers and streams in the Amazon Basin. She has beautiful pink flowers, with roots that are up to 7 times deeper than her highest branches. She is both very strong and flexible. Bobinsana is traditionally used to support various health conditions, including arthritis, rheumatism, menstrual complaints, and emotional trauma. It is also believed to support the immune system and provide relief from inflammation and unexplained pain. Revered by Shipibo curanderos, Bobinsana is often described as providing a “hug of light”, bringing comfort and peace to those experiencing grief or heartbreak. Bobinsana promotes compassion, strength, and emotional healing, and may induce lucid dreaming. Working with this master plant and her special icaros (songs) can deepen spiritual connection and enhance shamanic practices.
