New to Yerba Maté?
Steady energy, a bold herbal taste, and more than one way to brew
Yerba Maté is a naturally caffeinated South American herbal infusion. Its flavour is earthy, green and pleasantly bitter—similar to a strong green tea, but with its own character.
You can sip it traditionally through a bombilla, brew it in a French press, use convenient tea bags, or chill it over ice with citrus.
Choose your Maté in seconds
No jargon. Start with the way you want to drink it.
I want quick cups
Tea bags are simple at work, while travelling, or whenever you do not want to measure loose leaf.
I love a bold ritual
Choose an imported 1 kg option and a bombilla for repeated refills and classic preparation.
I use a press or infuser
Loose leaf gives you control over strength and works hot, iced, in a teapot or French press.

Traditional Maté is easier than it looks
1
Add the leaves
Fill the gourd partly with Yerba Maté and tilt the leaves to one side.
2
Moisten and insert
Add a little cool water, then place the bombilla into the wet side.
3
Pour and refill
Add hot—not boiling—water, sip, and refill while the flavour lasts.

A quick caffeine note
Yerba Maté naturally contains caffeine. The amount in your cup varies with the product, leaf quantity, water temperature, steeping time and repeated refills. If you are caffeine-sensitive, start gently and avoid drinking it close to bedtime. Speak to an appropriate healthcare professional about suitability during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or if you use medicines that may interact with caffeine.
Questions before you choose?

Can I make it without a bombilla?
Yes. Use a French press, tea infuser or teapot, or choose tea bags for maximum convenience.
Can I drink Yerba Maté cold?
Yes. Brew it slightly stronger, allow it to cool, then pour over ice with lemon, lime or mint.
Which option is best for a beginner?
