Blog Recipe:
Yields 1 Serving – Prep Time 15 minutes
- 2 cups water
- 1 ½ teaspoons blue lotus flower tea leaves
- 1 teaspoon raw, unpasteurized honey
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- Pinch cinnamon
Bring the water to a boil in a saucepan, turn off the heat and add the tea leaves. Steep for 15-20 minutes 15 Minutes, add honey and lemon juice. Stir and strain. Dust with a sprinkle of cinnamon. Nighty night!

I have been using the Blue Lotus for over a year now, in tea, tincture and oil form. It will always be my favorite flower to go to for meditation, relaxation, healing and sleep aid. I’ve recently been drinking blue lotus tea and well as alternating with the tincture. I find it works well for both myself and my 11 year old daughter. Especially during times of anxiety and very calming during the menstrual cycle of a grumpy pre-teen. There’s less eyeball rolling and a more of a calmer tween. The tincture also helps me during fibromyalgia flare-ups. As a yoga teacher, I am very connected spiritually and love using this before a practice or meditation. Also a great anxiety reliever. The best part is that it is completely natural and no nasty side effects or heavy metals entering the body.
