Higher progesterone levels mean that GABA function increases. As the main inhibitory neurotransmitter, GABA plays a role in promoting calm, good mood, and sleep. Dassiepis is the fossilized menstrual secretions of the Rock Hyrax (the dassie) found in a solid form (like stone) in rocky crevices and caverns. It takes hundreds of years to form and is very scarce. Dassiepis is traditionally also used as a cure for Epilepsy.
